Save Time, Save Money, and Have Fun in New York City

Save Time, Save Money, and Have Fun in New York City

If you learned how to save time and money on your next visit to New York City, I think that would be something you'd be interested, no? It is actually much easier than you think. You just need a little insight and a not-very-well-known product called the New York Pass.

The New York Pass is essentially your "key to the city". Most of the major attractions are included and in many cases, although not all, you will have fast track access which means you don't wait in line. Lines at some of the events can make you wait an hour or more. If you hit five attractions that each have an average of an hour wait, you've eaten five hours out of your day.

I have personally used the pass and convinced the group I was with to get passes as well. We determined that we broke even after our first three events. We went to the Empire State Building Observation Deck which would have cost $20.

Then went to the SkyRide simulator which would have cost $35. Then we headed to Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum which would set you back for $29.00. That's $84 and we paid $75 so we were actually ahead by $9.00. We went to three more events that day which averaged about $20. So on top of the $84 that we would have spent those other three events would have brought the total $144. We still paid $75.

The New York Pass is not for everyone. If you are just going to stroll through the city looking at the shops and attractions without actually going into them, then you will not get any benefit from buying and using a New York Pass. Further, you should call the places that you'll want to visit that are included in the New York Pass and see if there are any restrictions or if they are even open. Licoln Center is in a process of major renovations and they are not doing tours at this point in time.

If you are a person that likes to visit the major museums, want ot see the Empire State Building and perhaps hit the Intrepid Air, Sea, and Space museum, you are a likely candidate to take part in using a New York Pass. It saves time, saves money and gives you the ability to have fun on your visit to New York City.
